Political Career: Chirag entered politics in 2008 and became the national president of the Lok Jan Shakti Party in 2020, succeeding his father after his passing. He made his electoral debut in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, winning the Jamui seat. In 2024, he contested from Hajipur, a strategic move as this was his father’s stronghold, and he successfully won the seat, defeating RJD’s Shiv Chandra Ram by over 170,000 votes
