Shri Karan Bhushan Singh

Shri Karan Bhushan Singh is set to make his political debut as the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) candidate for the Kaiserganj constituency in the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections. He is the younger son of Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, a prominent political figure and former Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) president. Karan, born on December 13, 1990, is a national-level shooter specializing in double trap shooting and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and a law degree from Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University. He also completed a diploma in business management from Australia.

In addition to his political ambitions, Karan Bhushan Singh holds leadership roles in various organizations, including serving as the president of the Uttar Pradesh Wrestling Association and the Cooperative Village Development Bank in Nawabganj, Gonda. His political rise comes in the wake of sexual harassment allegations against his father, Brij Bhushan, who has dominated the Kaiserganj constituency, winning three consecutive terms.

Karan Bhushan Singh’s candidature represents a generational shift in the Kaiserganj seat, as the BJP chose him over his father amid controversies surrounding Brij Bhushan’s legal battles.
