Manoj Tigga

Manoj Tigga is an Indian politician and member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), currently representing the Madarihat constituency in West Bengal. Born on March 21, 1973, in West Bengal, Tigga is a dedicated school teacher by profession and serves as the Chief Opposition Whip in the West Bengal Legislative Assembly.

He completed his Bachelor of Science from A.C. College, Jalpaiguri, under North Bengal University in 1996. His political journey began in the 2009 West Bengal Assembly elections, where he lost to Manohar Tirkey of the Revolutionary Socialist Party. However, in the 2016 elections, he secured a significant victory against the AITC candidate Padam Lama by a margin of over 20,000 votes, representing the Madarihat constituency.

Manoj Tigga is set to contest from the Alipurduar constituency in the 2024 general elections. As of the latest records, his net worth is approximately ₹15.96 lakhs, with total assets of ₹32.03 lakhs and liabilities amounting to ₹16.07 lakhs.
