Dr. Sharmila Sarkar is a prominent Indian politician affiliated with the All India Trinamool Congress (AITC). She was born on January 1, 1979, in Katwa, located in Purba Bardhaman district, West Bengal. Coming from a humble background, she completed her schooling at Agradwip Union High School and pursued higher education at Katwa College before earning her medical degree (MBBS) and MD from R.G. Kar Medical College in Kolkata.
