Dr. K. Sudhakar is a prominent Indian politician from Chikkaballapur, Karnataka. Born on June 27, 1973, in Chikkaballapur, he holds an MBBS degree from Siddhartha Medical College, Tumkur. Sudhakar began his political career with the Indian National Congress (INC), winning the Karnataka Legislative Assembly seat from Chikkaballapur in 2018. He later switched to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in 2019.
During his political journey, Sudhakar held significant positions, including being the Minister of Medical Education and Health in Karnataka from 2020 to 2023, playing a crucial role during the COVID-19 pandemic. He was one of the youngest cabinet ministers in the B. S. Yeddyurappa government and continued to serve under Basavaraj Bommai. However, in the 2023 state elections, he lost his seat to Pradeep Eshwar from the INC.
