Devendra Singh

Devendra Singh, also known as Bhole Singh, is a seasoned Indian politician affiliated with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Born on April 2, 1954, in Madhwapur, Auraiya district of Uttar Pradesh, he hails from a farming background. His political career spans multiple decades, with a strong focus on both national and state-level politics.

Singh began his political journey by serving as the Block Head of Jhinjhak (1988–1992) and later entered the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly, where he served two terms from 1991 to 1992 and 1996 to 2002. At the state level, he held significant ministerial roles, including Minister of Family Welfare (1997-1999) and Minister of Medical Health (1997).

In 2014, he made his debut in national politics by winning the Akbarpur constituency seat in the 16th Lok Sabha. He was re-elected in 2019 for the 17th Lok Sabha and has held important roles such as serving on the Standing Committees for Agriculture and Energy. Singh has actively participated in various legislative discussions and raised pertinent questions, contributing to the development of his constituency and Uttar Pradesh. He is known for advocating issues related to agriculture, health, and social welfare, particularly focusing on organizing mass marriages for underprivileged girls and supporting the disabled through various initiatives.

Apart from his political work, Singh’s personal life is rooted in his rural origins. He is married to Premsheela Singh and has four children. His current net worth is approximately ₹2.85 crore
