Daroga Prasad Saroj is a seasoned Indian politician affiliated with the Samajwadi Party. Born on January 1, 1956, in Mohanpur Patwans, Azamgarh district, Uttar Pradesh, he has a notable political career, particularly representing the Lalganj (SC) constituency in the Lok Sabha.
Saroj’s political journey began with his election to the 12th Lok Sabha in 1998, where he served as a representative of the Lalganj constituency, a seat reserved for Scheduled Castes. His career is marked by several positions, including membership in committees like the Committee on Food, Civil Supplies, and Public Distribution, and the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment’s consultative committee.
A graduate of Gorakhpur University, Saroj has focused much of his work on political and social welfare issues. Throughout his career, he has maintained a strong presence in Uttar Pradesh politics, known for his association with the Samajwadi Party and earlier affiliations with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Samata Party.
