Shankar completed his higher secondary education from the Madhya Pradesh Secondary Education Board and later earned a Bachelor of Technology degree from Veer Mata Jijabai Technological Institute in Mumbai. After his studies, he returned to Indore to engage in business and consultancy
Political Journey
Lalwani’s political career began in local governance. He served as a councillor in the Indore Municipal Corporation from 1994 to 1999. Subsequently, he held the position of Chairperson of the Municipal Corporation for a decade, from 1999 to 2009. His leadership extended to the Indore Development Authority, where he served as Chairperson for five years starting in 2013. In the 2019 general elections, he contested and won the Lok Sabha seat from Indore, defeating his closest rival from the Indian National Congress by a significant margin of approximately 550,000 votes
