Shri Isha Khan Choudhury

Shri Isha Khan Choudhury is an Indian politician affiliated with the Indian National Congress, representing the Maldaha Dakshin constituency in West Bengal. He was born on May 22, 1971, in Malda, West Bengal. Isha comes from a prominent political family; his father, Abu Hasem Khan Choudhury, and uncle A.B.A. Ghani Khan Choudhury were both influential figures in Indian politics, with the latter serving as a minister in the central government​

Political Career

Isha Khan began his political journey as a member of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly. He first contested from the Baisnabnagar constituency in 2011, successfully winning the seat. He later shifted to the Sujapur constituency in the 2016 elections, where he won against his uncle Abu Nasar Khan Choudhury, who had defected to the Trinamool Congress​.

In 2024, he was elected as a Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha, representing Maldaha Dakshin
