Shri Anurag Sharma, born on November 16, 1964, in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, is a well-known leader and businessman. He represents the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as the Member of Parliament for Jhansi in the 17th Lok Sabha. He is an active figure in community service, education, and Ayurveda.
In addition to his political career, Sharma is the Managing Director of Baidyanath Research Foundation, a renowned Ayurvedic organization. His business ventures also include Ayurvedant Pvt. Ltd., which exports Ayurvedic products globally, and Peethambra Plastics Pvt. Ltd., one of the largest plastic container manufacturers in Bundelkhand.
Sharma is deeply involved in social activities. He chairs the Rani Laxmi Bai Public School, which has multiple branches and over 4,500 students. He also heads several charitable trusts and organizations promoting sports, women’s empowerment, and healthcare initiatives in the region. His love for sports is evident in his promotion of hockey tournaments and the construction of various sports facilities in Jhansi.
Sharma holds degrees in commerce, including a postgraduate degree from Bundelkhand University, and has attended an OPM program at Harvard University. He has received numerous awards for his contributions to business and Ayurveda, including the “Entrepreneur of the Year” award from Bundelkhand University.
