Ramashankar Rajbhar

Ramashankar Rajbhar is an Indian politician and a former Member of Parliament who represented the Salempur constituency of Uttar Pradesh in the 15th Lok Sabha (2009-2014). He is associated with the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and has been actively involved in politics to address socio-economic challenges, particularly those affecting rural and marginalized communities.

Born on January 1, 1960, in Shivpur, Uttar Pradesh, Rajbhar comes from a family with a strong tradition of community service. His education was completed at Gorakhpur University. Early in life, his exposure to agrarian issues and his active participation in local community development initiatives shaped his political outlook. He worked in grassroots organizations before entering national politics.

Rajbhar is married to Krishnavati Devi, and they have nine children. Throughout his career, he has maintained a focus on improving conditions for the rural population, particularly in agriculture and social justice. His political journey has been marked by clean governance, as he has no criminal cases against him and has a relatively modest declared net worth of around ₹23 lakh.
