Dr. Alok Kumar Suman is a politician from the Janata Dal (United) (JD(U)) and represents the Gopalganj (SC) constituency in Bihar in the Lok Sabha. Born on March 4, 1957, in Jadopur Dukhaharan, Gopalganj, he is a medical professional by training, holding an MBBS and an MS in General Surgery from Patna Medical College. Prior to entering politics, he served as a Deputy Director in the Bihar government. His political career saw a significant milestone when he was elected to the 17th Lok Sabha in 2019.
Dr. Suman has been active in social work, organizing free medical camps, conducting surgeries for the needy, and running Pahal Coaching Centre, which offers free education to about 150 underprivileged children.
