Early Political Career
Chaudhary began his political career as a Member of Parliament in the 9th Lok Sabha, representing Khalilabad in the Sant Kabir Nagar district as a member of the Janata Party. He then transitioned to state politics, serving as the MLA for Kaptanganj in Basti district for five consecutive terms from 1993 until 2017
