Shri Vivek Thakur is an Indian politician from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) representing Nawada, Bihar. Born on November 27, 1969, in Patna, Bihar, he comes from a prominent political family. His father, C.P. Thakur, is a senior BJP leader and former Union Minister. Vivek Thakur has been active in Indian politics for several years, holding various positions, including a Member of Parliament (MP) in the Rajya Sabha from 2020 to 2024. In 2024, he was elected to the Lok Sabha, representing the Nawada constituency.
He holds a B.A. and LLB degree, having studied at Delhi University and Magadh University. Thakur also received training at the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade. Before his Lok Sabha tenure, he served in the Bihar Legislative Council from 2013 to 2014.
